Structural design
Sealing surface form: There are two common types of metal-to-metal seals and soft seals. Metal-to-metal seals usually use materials such as carbide or stainless steel. Through precision machining, the valve seat and the sealing surface of the gate are tightly fitted. They have the characteristics of high temperature resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and are suitable for harsh working conditions such as high pressure, high temperature, and high sulfur content; soft seals generally use elastic materials such as rubber and polytetrafluoroethylene, have good sealing performance, can effectively prevent leakage, and have small opening and closing torques. They are often used in general working conditions of low pressure and normal temperature.
Connection methods with the valve body: mainly threaded connection, flange connection and welding connection. The threaded connection has a simple structure, is easy to install, and is easy to repair and replace; the flange connection has good sealing and connection strength, and is suitable for high-pressure pipeline systems; the welding connection can make the valve seat and the valve body form a whole, and the connection is firm and reliable, but it needs cutting and welding during maintenance, which is more complicated.
