Key Components of an EVA Foaming Press

1. Frame & Platens: A robust steel frame houses two heavy, flat, heated plates (platens). The bottom platen is fixed, while the top platen moves to apply pressure.

2. Hydraulic System: This is the "muscle" of the press. It consists of a hydraulic pump, cylinders, and valves that generate and control the immense pressure (typically ranging from 50 to 500 tons) required to mold the material.

Heating System: The platens are heated, usually by:

Electric Heating Elements: Most common, offering precise and clean temperature control.

Steam Heating: Used in larger, industrial settings, providing very even heat distribution.

Thermal Oil: Less common, for specific high-temperature applications.

3. Control System: The "brain" of the operation. A Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and touchscreen interface allow operators to set and automate the entire molding cycle (temperature, pressure, time, cooling).

4. Mold: The custom-made, precision tooling (typically made of aluminum or steel) that defines the final shape of the product. The EVA material is placed inside the mold cavity before the press closes.
