How is the watch case made?

To put it simply, the watch case is basically extruded from the mold to the shape you want.The case material is first pressed/cut from a long metal rod, then the rough shell is milled in multiple stages to achieve the desired shape and finish. Some finishing is done on lathes, while some complex/undercuts are done with multi-axis CNC. Handfinish usually occurs in the final stage of polishing, in order to make the case finer.

The design of our dive watch case is quite special, because there is one more thing on the design of the watch crowns, which is called an ammonia exhaust valve. Not all diving watches are equipped with a helium exhaust valve. The structure of the case is more complicated than other watch accessories. We need to draw engineering drawings before production. After confirming the details, we need to make the mold of the case.
