Metal fibre filter elements are widely used in highly dynamic applications. The filter element consist of stainless steel fibre. This stainless steel fibre is pleated, and produces a low pressure drop and is suitable for all fluids. In order to reduce the dimensions of the filter element and increase the filtration area, the filter layer is generally folded into a corrugated shape, and the layer is generally pleated below 20 mm.
