It is traditionally used to moisten the intestines, promote bowel movements, and nourish yin and body fluids. Botanical Characteristics:
Flax is an annual herbaceous plant with slender stems and blue flowers. Its seeds are small, flat, and shiny brown. In herbal medicine, the whole seed is used, often ground or decocted.
