Product details

Delrin 570 is a 20% glass filled acetal homopolymer blend. DuPont Delrin® is a popular acetal homopolymer brand name, and the most commonly used acetal homopolymer. The combination of glass in Delrin® acetal resin gives this material excellent stiffness, strength, and stability. This combination offers higher mechanical properties at elevated temperatures.

It is commonly utilized in spools, fixtures, and electrical components where dimensional stability and enhanced mechanical and insulating properties are required.

Available in sheet and rod, it is easily machined with standard metal working equipment. Tolerances of +/-.0005 can be achieved with experience. The glass can lead to some premature wear of tooling, so care should be taken to avoid excessive tool speeds.

Delrin® AF, Delrin® 100AF and Delrin® AF Blend

Delrin AF is a polyacetal resin blend with 13% PTFE [standard grade] that is used in applications where low friction and wear life are important. It is a unique thermoplastic material that is uniformly dispersed in a combination of polyacetal resin, acetal resin, and PTFE fibers. Polyacetal resin blend AF typically contains 13% PTFE fiber-filled LF-13 is always 13% PTFE powder-filled. In full-strength Delrin 100AF, it can also be customized to 20% PTFE. DE588 is a polyacetal resin 100AF fully certified to U.S. Navy specifications.

Properties and advantages of Delrin®AFBlend - 13% PTFE (standard)

Polyacetal AF blends are available in standard 12-14% PTFE fillings.

20% PTFE fillings are sold on a custom order basis (polyacetal 100AF or 500AF polyacetal resin).

Self-lubricating with low friction coefficient.
