Working Principle

The scroll rotor rotates through the sequence shown in Fig.1-Fig.4. Air is drawn into the crescent-shaped sealed chamber formed between the scroll stator and the scroll rotor. As the volume of this crescent-shaped compression chamber gradually decreases, the compressed air is discharged through the central exhaust port.
