Silicon nitride iron is an emerging high-quality refractory material used in dry gunning for large blast furnaces, featuring excellent fluidity, promoting sintering, corrosion resistance, and low cost.

Silicon nitride iron powder is suitable for stainless steel smelting, special alloy steel smelting, oriented silicon steel smelting, and the casting industry. As a new type of refractory material, it is applied in the metallurgical field, such as metallurgical furnaces, furnace mouth seals, iron water outlets of iron smelting furnaces, iron hooks of non-uniform materials, and nitrogen additives in the steelmaking industry. Silicon nitride materials can be used as grinding materials for manufacturing grinding tools and can also be applied in chemical fields such as acid resistance, alkali resistance, and corrosion resistance.

In steelmaking, granular silicon nitride iron was initially mainly used in oriented silicon steel production, where it can stably supplement a certain amount of nitrogen to the molten steel.
