Production Process of Plastic Coated Tubing
5 month ago

Material
Plastic coated tubing is composed of stainless steel inner tubing and an outer plastic layer (commonly PVC, PE, or PP), combining the strength and corrosion resistance of stainless steel with the added protection and insulation of a plastic coating. The inner stainless steel tube is typically made of 304, 316, 316L, 309, or 317 grades—each known for excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical performance. The plastic layer protects the tubing during transportation, installation, and operation in corrosive, humid, or chemically active environments.

Key Features
- Double Protection: Stainless steel provides chemical and heat resistance, while the plastic coating enhances impact and abrasion resistance.
- Corrosion-Resistant: Ideal for corrosive and humid environments with frequent chemical contact.
- Flexible Installation: The coiled tubing format reduces the number of joints and speeds installation, especially for long pipe runs.
- Color-Coding Available: Customizable coatings facilitate visual identification and safety marking.
- Safe Operation: The plastic coating reduces the risk of surface damage or sharp edges during installation.
- Environmentally Adaptable: Suitable for indoor, outdoor, buried, or chemically exposed environments.
