PVC Foam Board (Xuefu Board)
PVC foam board—also called "Xuefu Board"—is a sheet made by squeezing material with special machines. Its main ingredient is PVC (polyvinyl chloride), plus stuff like foaming agents, flame retardants, and anti-aging additives.
Here’s what makes it good:
1.Light but strong: It’s usually 0.5-0.65g/cm³ in density—only half the weight (or less!) of wood or solid PVC boards. So it’s easy to move, handle, and install. And its closed-cell structure makes it strong and stiff—great for billboards or partitions, and it doesn’t bend or crack easily.
2.Waterproof & moisture-proof: It soaks up almost no water (only 0.08%) and works really well against water/moisture. No swelling, rotting, or mold in damp spots—good for indoor and outdoor use.
3.Corrosion-resistant: It can handle acids, alkalis, and lots of chemicals without bending or breaking down. Perfect for factories or coastal areas.
4.Fire-safe: It’s flame-retardant and stops burning on its own—no need to worry about fires. Some better fire-rated ones even meet ASTM E84 Class A standards, meaning they don’t keep burning in fires and produce less smoke (and less toxic smoke too).
5.Easy to work with: You can use regular wood tools on it—drill, saw, nail, plane, glue, etc. It also works for heating and bending, or folding. Low-foam ones can be welded. Its surface is smooth, so you can print on it, paint it, or add a film easily for different looks.
6.Insulates well: It blocks sound, soaks up some noise, and keeps heat in (or out). Makes indoor spaces more comfy.
7.Eco-friendly & recyclable: No formaldehyde is used to make it. Some brands use green processes and meet eco-building standards. Plus, you can recycle it—cuts down on waste.
8.Color lasts long: It’s made with weather-resistant stuff, so the color stays the same for years. Doesn’t age fast, so it always looks good.
