Ball screws are the most commonly used transmission components in machine tools and precision machinery. Their main function is to convert rotational motion into linear motion or convert torque into axial reciprocating force. I. What are the causes of large reverse errors in ball screws?

1. Excessive or insufficient preload of the ball screw

2. Large manufacturing errors or axial movement of the ball screw

3. Excessive or insufficient tightness of the mating pressure plate of the screw shaft slide

4. Interference from other machinery

5. Loosening of the coupling taper sleeve of the screw shaft

6. Excessive or insufficient preload of the ball screw support bearing

7. Excessive or insufficient tightness of the mating wedge of the screw shaft slide

II. How to eliminate the directional error of the ball screw:

1. Readjust or regrind.

2. It is qualified if a 0.03mm feeler gauge cannot be inserted.

3. Adjust the preload and check the axial movement value to ensure that the error is not greater than 0.015mm.

4. Repair and adjust.

5. Adjust until all guide surfaces are lubricated.

6. Readjust or regrind to make the contact rate reach more than 70%, and it is qualified if a 0.03mm feeler gauge cannot be inserted.

7. Retighten and test repeatedly with a dial indicator.

8. Eliminate the interfering parts.

9. Repair, adjust, or add a gasket for treatment.
