1. Product Overview
Some nail polish brushes on the market suffer from bent filaments after prolonged immersion in nail polish, mainly due to insufficient quality control during production. To address this common industry pain point, Tai Hing Nylon has established a dedicated R&D team to carry out targeted process optimization.
Through repeated testing, product refinement and R&D exploration, we have successfully introduced a specialized straightness treatment process, enabling our filaments to maintain a straightness rate of over 95%. This effectively solves the problem of filament bending in nail polish and improves overall brush performance.
2. Production Technology
Our PBT Brush Filament and PA612 Nylon Filament nail polish brush filaments are produced through a precise manufacturing process: raw material melting and extrusion, cooling forming, heating stretching, and proprietary post-treatment. This system ensures high stability, low defect rate and excellent liquid-holding capacity, while raising filament straightness above 95%.
During production, accelerated molecular thermal motion rapidly releases internal stress accumulated in the stretching stage. This keeps the filaments straight and stable, preventing warping or bending even during long-term use in nail polish.

Tai Hing filaments are characterized by outstanding straightness and consistent diameter, delivering a smooth and uniform appearance.
- Excellent Tufting Effect
Recommended filament diameter: 0.05–0.10 mm.
PBT Synthetic Bristle produces full, straight brush heads with consistent width from top to bottom. The uniform structure ensures full coverage of the nail surface, allowing easy one-stroke application.
- Even Liquid Loading & Fewer Brush Marks
Strict quality control guarantees uniform straightness across every filament. This improves polish pickup and smooth spreading, effectively reducing brush marks. In normal environments, our filaments maintain long-term straightness in nail polish without warping or splitting.
Straightness Test Method – Boiling Water Immersion
Tests confirm that the boiling water immersion method delivers results highly consistent with real nail polish testing. It is more eco-friendly, easier to operate and time-efficient (approx. 20 minutes vs. 24 hours for nail polish testing).
1. Take more than 35 sample groups, starting 20 meters from the spindle beginning for stable quality.
2. Cut each filament bundle to 20mm and prepare 35 bundles.
3. Immerse samples in 100°C boiling water for 1 minute, then air-dry naturally.
4. Any curved or warped filament is regarded as unqualified.
We conduct repeated tests among multiple process plans to select the optimal solution for our customers.
Moderate Hardness & Softness
Our filaments offer excellent flexibility and a soft touch, with ideal bending strength that enhances brush head ductility. During application, filaments spread evenly into a wide-angle fan shape matching the nail, increasing coverage and improving finishing. The neat, smooth tips enable precise control and help avoid staining the skin around the nail.
High Chemical Stability
Tai Hing filaments provide excellent resistance to fading and discoloration. All qualified products must pass a 168-hour immersion test in medical alcohol and nail polish-simulating solvents with no fading or discoloration.
Special Surface Treatment
We customize filament smoothness according to customers’ tufting equipment to improve production efficiency and tufting quality. Our exclusive surface treatment allows tight filament arrangement and reduces scattering during brush manufacturing. Meanwhile, controlled surface friction increases bundle tension and anchoring strength, minimizing shedding. The straight, compact structure also makes trimming easy, supporting flat-top, round and other brush head designs.
