Turcite A is a thermoplastic self-lubricating bearing material modified with a polyoxymethylene (POM) base material that offers low moisture absorption, low thermal expansion and high structural stability. Its properties are similar to those of Delrin AF®, but modified with acetal copolymers to avoid central porosity problems and improve wear and tear resistance.

1.Abrasion resistance and lubricity: excellent self-lubricating properties, low coefficient of friction, smooth dry sliding behaviour, suitable for high load, high speed environments.

2.Dimensional stability: low moisture absorption, low coefficient of thermal expansion, long-term use can maintain the dimensional accuracy of parts.

3.Machining performance: easy to cut and mould, suitable for manufacturing precision parts.

4.Application temperature : Maximum continuous working temperature is 80℃.

Application Fields

It is mainly used to manufacture wear-resistant parts such as screw materials, bearings, sliders, gears, etc. It is commonly used in the fields of industrial equipment, machine tools and precision machinery.

Turcite™ is a family of materials made from both Acetal resins and PTFE. The acetal-based Turcite products are known for exhibiting good strength and stiffness, dimensional stability, resistant to abrasion with very low stick-slip in dynamic applications.

Turcite A and X are the most popular of the acetal-based versions where copolymer resins are blended with low friction and wear additives.

Turcite A and X are common to many industrial applications since they are chemically inert to most solvents. They are a good choice for enhanced extrusion resistance in dynamic load applications.

The other side of the Turcite family are modified PTFE materials used for both bearing and seal applications. Turcite B is a popular linear bearing material for the machine tool industry and there are many Turcite grades used in industrial seals, wipers and wear rings for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, valves and other control devices.
