1、 Working principle: Pressure difference triggers alarm
The core of a wet alarm valve is a one-way valve disc, which divides the system into a water supply side and a system side. Normally, the water pressure on both sides remains balanced, and the valve disc closes due to its own weight, putting the system in a standby state. When a fire occurs, the nozzle ruptures due to high temperature and sprays water, causing a sudden drop in system side pressure while the water supply side pressure remains unchanged, and the valve disc is pushed open. The water flows through the alarm pipeline, triggering the delay device, pressure switch, and hydraulic alarm bell. At the same time as the alarm bell rings, the pressure switch starts the fire pump and sends a signal to the control room.
2、 Core components: "teams" each performing their own duties
Valve disc: The core of a one-way valve, usually closed and opened in case of a fire.
Delay device: Filter water flow fluctuations to prevent false alarms.
Pressure switch: Convert the water pressure signal into an electrical signal, start the water pump, and provide feedback on the position.
Hydraulic alarm bell: emits a loud alarm to remind personnel to evacuate.
3、 Applicable scenario: "Guardian" from 4 ℃ to 70 ℃
Wet alarm valves are suitable for places with ambient temperatures ranging from 4 ℃ to 70 ℃, such as shopping malls, office buildings, etc. Its design is simple and reliable, making it the "main force" of automatic sprinkler fire extinguishing systems.
4、 Maintenance points: Regularly check to prevent "strikes"
The sealing gasket of the valve disc is prone to aging and needs to be checked regularly to avoid misoperation caused by water leakage. The pressure difference of the pressure gauge should be controlled within 0.01 megapascals to ensure that the valve disc closes normally.
