5.3-meter-long Volkswagen Viloran MPV

The Viloran is a mid-to-large-sized MPV under SAIC Volkswagen. With a length of 5346mm and a wheelbase of 3180mm, it's even larger than the Mercedes-Benz G5 and GL8, yet it offers a limited-time starting price of 199,900 RMB, directly lowering the entry barrier for joint-venture MPVs to the price range of domestically produced vehicles. It features a 2+2+3 seating layout, with second-row power seats offering heating, ventilation, and massage functions, and the third row can slide forward and backward. The trunk has a standard capacity of 436L, folding down completely flat, making it more flexible than commercial light commercial vehicles in the same price range, and it also offers a Level 2 iQ.Drive system, unlike older used GL8s.

 

The entire range is powered by a 2.0T engine paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission, available in 137kW low-power and 162kW high-power versions, with a combined fuel consumption of 7.6-8.0L/100km, requiring only 92-octane gasoline. The front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link suspension, along with DCC adaptive suspension, can switch between comfort and sport modes, providing stability at high speeds and a smooth ride on rough roads, offering a driving experience closer to a sedan than other new energy MPVs of the same size. The interior features a 10.3-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 12-inch floating screen, supporting CarPlay and four-zone voice control. The rear seats include dual Type-C ports, a 220V power outlet, and sunshades. Dual power sliding doors with anti-pinch function and a floor height of only 44cm make getting in and out easier for the elderly and children compared to traditional SUVs.

 

Compared to commercial MPVs, the Veyron's rear seats can be folded completely flat, transforming it into a large bed for camping. Compared to a used Odyssey, the new model adds a passenger-side entertainment screen and massage seats. Compared to new energy vehicles, it refuels in just 3 minutes and is ready to go again, making it suitable for city commuting, long-distance shuttles, and business receptions.
