The Geely Xingrui Dongfangyao is a newly labeled "New Car" Chinese performance sedan, and Geely's latest masterpiece, bringing its 2.0T high-power engine and Flyme AI cockpit into the 100,000 yuan price range. Its standard dimensions of 4785×1869×1469 mm and a 2800 mm wheelbase maintain its A+ class positioning, with a drag coefficient as low as 0.27. The front features a concave vertical grille connected to a T-shaped air intake, while the rear boasts a black spoiler and quad exhaust pipes. It looks more spirited than a used Volkswagen Jetta and more agile than a boxy commercial vehicle, allowing for easy U-turns in underground parking garages.

 

The interior uses "Dunhuang aesthetics" to showcase luxury and technology side-by-side: a 14.6-inch 4K floating screen and a 10.2-inch LCD instrument panel form a dual-screen setup; Flyme Auto is equipped with a Qualcomm 8155 chip, supporting HUAWEI HiCar, CarLink, and four-zone voice control; the Starwise AI big model is deeply integrated with DeepSeek, allowing for one-word control of navigation, sunroof, and air conditioning; heated/ventilated/massaging front seats are standard across the range; the passenger seat features a 3D laser-engraved "Deer Leaping Stars" design and a crystal gearshift lever, maximizing the sense of occasion; the rear seat backrests are adjustable and can be folded down in a 4/6 split; the trunk has sufficient regular volume, with a 2-meter depth when folded down, allowing skis and carry-on suitcases to be laid flat; the space is more organized than other new energy SUVs in the same price range, and the battery does not encroach on the floor.

 

The powertrain offers two options: a 1.5T and a 2.0T. The 1.5T produces 133kW/290N·m of torque paired with a 7-speed DCT, achieving a WLTC fuel consumption of 6.2L/100km. The 2.0T, with a high power output of 200kW/400N·m, is paired with an Aisin 8AT, achieving 0-100km/h in 6.5 seconds, with a WLTC fuel consumption of 7.15L/100km and requiring only 92-octane gasoline. The chassis features a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension, with a CCD variable damping suspension that switches between comfort and sport modes. It effectively recovers from speed bumps with a single rebound, maintaining stability even at 120km/h. The L2-level "Qianli Haohan H3" intelligent driving system (11 cameras + 3 millimeter-wave radar + 12 ultrasonic radars, 128 TOPS computing power) supports high-speed NOA, automatic parking, and 120km/h ultra-high-speed AEB, offering a more exhilarating mechanical experience than pure electric new energy vehicles and a more satisfying acceleration than traditional naturally aspirated engines.

 

A minor service costs just over 400 yuan, with annual maintenance costs around 12,000 yuan, half that of similarly priced new energy vehicles. Compared to commercial MPVs, it has a shorter body for easier parking; compared to older used cars, the new model offers a passenger-side entertainment screen and highway NOA (Noise, Arrival, and Exit) function; compared to other hybrid vehicles in its class, it offers 200kW power, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.5 seconds at a price point around 100,000 yuan, making it suitable for both city commuting and weekend mountain driving, subtly showcasing "equal fuel efficiency" as a form of understated luxury.
