Lubricating film: a "cushion" of friction

1. Principle: When the piston moves at high speed, the oil forms an oil film several microns thick between the cylinder liner and the piston ring, which is like the "water cushion" between the skating shoes and the ice surface, converting the direct friction into liquid shear.

2. Key indicators: oil film thickness should be maintained at 1.5-3μm, too thin leads to dry grinding (boundary friction), too thick increases resistance (viscosity loss).
