Manufacturing Process: Injection Molding

Nearly all parts in these categories are mass-produced using injection molding.

• Process: Molten PP is injected under high pressure into a precision steel or aluminum mold.

• Advantages: High production speed, exceptional consistency, low per-part cost, and ability to create complex geometries with integrated features (bosses, ribs, snap-fits, living hinges).

• For Shells: The tool design is critical, often involving side-actions and lifters to create the enclosed shape.

Industrial & Agricultural Plastic Parts

• Industrial Examples: Storage bins, conveyor components, machine housings, protective covers, cable drums, pallets, laboratory equipment trays.

• Agricultural Examples: Seed trays, fertilizer hoppers and lids, housing for sprayer equipment, components for irrigation systems, livestock feeder parts, tractor cab interior panels.

• PP's Role: Its resistance to chemicals (oils, agro-chemicals) and environmental stress cracking makes it a top choice. It can be modified with additives for UV resistance (critical for outdoor agricultural use) or enhanced rigidity.
