Acipimox Capsule

Product Name: Acipimox Capsule

Therapeutic Indications

This product can be used as an alternative or adjunctive therapy for patients not adequately managed by other treatments to reduce plasma triglyceride levels. It is indicated for:

Severe hypertriglyceridemia (Fredrickson type IV hyperlipoproteinemia)

Combined hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia (Fredrickson type IIb hyperlipoproteinemia)

It should be used only after dietary modification and other non-pharmacological treatments (exercise, weight loss) have been implemented.

Dosage and Administration

Oral administration. The daily dose should be adjusted based on plasma triglyceride and cholesterol levels.

Recommended dose: 1 capsule (0.25g) each time, 2-3 times daily, taken with or after meals.

For type IV hyperlipidemia, a lower dose is recommended; for type IIb hyperlipidemia, a higher dose is suggested.

The maximum daily dose should not exceed 1200mg. Long-term, safe use is possible.

Lipid-lowering effects are usually observed within one month of treatment.
