The corrosion resistance of embossed color-coated steel sheets primarily depends on the combination of the coating and the substrate, rather than the embossing process itself. It is determined by the quality of the original color-coating system; proper material selection can achieve long-term corrosion resistance. Embossed color-coated steel sheets are products where a raised or recessed pattern is created on the surface of a steel sheet coated with an organic coating through roll pressing. Its core functional layer remains the underlying color-coating system. Embossing is a forming process and does not change the chemical properties of the material itself. Therefore, corrosion resistance is mainly determined by the substrate type, coating weight, and the types of primer and topcoat.
