Techtron® HPV Overview - Bearing-Grade PPS

TECHTRON HPV is an extruded form of polyphenylene sulphide reinforced with internal lubricants, delivering outstanding wear resistance, strength, dimensional stability and chemical resistance. TECHTRON HPV is the ideal material for applications where standard engineering plastics (nylon, acetal, and polyester) fall short, and where advanced materials (polyimide, polyether ether ketone, polyamide-imide) represent an over-engineered solution.

TECHTRON HPV Advantages:

• Exceptional wear resistance and high PV rating at an economical price

• Chemical resistance - TECHTRON HPV PPS withstands a wide range of organic and inorganic chemicals.

• Operating Temperature - TECHTRON HPV PPS™ has a maximum permissible operating temperature of 260°C, with continuous use exceeding 20,000 hours at 220°C for short periods.

• Wear Resistance - TECHTRON HPV PPS™'s overall wear resistance and low coefficient of friction overcome the drawbacks of virgin glass-filled polysulfide, which exhibits poor wear resistance, and reinforced polysulfide, which can cause premature wear of mating surfaces in bearing applications.

• Dimensional Stability - TECHTRON HPV PPS maintains excellent dimensional stability despite temperature variations, moisture absorption, stress relief, and chemical erosion.

Techtron® HPV PPS

Techtron HPV PPS (dark blue) offers excellent comprehensive properties, including wear resistance, load-bearing capacity and dimensional stability when exposed to chemicals and high temperatures.

Where PA, POM, PET and other plastics prove inadequate, or where PI, PEEK and PAI represent over-engineering, Techtron HPV PPS provides a more economical solution.

Techtron HPV PPS incorporates uniformly dispersed internal lubricants, delivering excellent wear resistance and a low coefficient of friction. It overcomes the high friction coefficient inherent in pure PPS and addresses premature wear issues on mating surfaces in glass-fibre reinforced PPS dynamic components.

Techtron HPV PPS is suitable for diverse industrial equipment, including industrial drying and food processing ovens (bearings, rollers, etc.), chemical processing machinery (pump, valve, and compressor components), and electrical insulation systems.
