Product Overview

The electrodeionization system is a next-generation core equipment for deep pure water preparation that integrates electrodialysis technology and ion exchange technology. It is commonly paired with a reverse osmosis system to form a dual-stage RO+EDI ultra-pure water process, enabling the deep removal of trace salts, weak electrolytes, and metal ions residual in the reverse osmosis permeate, and stably producing industrial ultra-pure water that meets requirements.

The electro deionization unit eliminates the mode of acid and alkali chemical regeneration required by traditional mixed bed ion exchange, relies on a direct current electric field to achieve continuous self-regeneration of the resin, and can uninterruptedly and stably produce water 24 hours a day.It is the mainstream core equipment for ultra-pure water preparation in industries such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, power generation, and new energy, as well as a key solution for achieving green, automated, and low-cost operation and maintenance in the industrial water treatment field.

Working of Electrodeionization System

The core of an EDI system consists of dilute chambers, concentrate chambers, electrodes, cation and anion exchange membranes, and ion exchange resins.Driven by a direct current electric field, it synchronously completes the three major processes of ion removal, resin adsorption, and electrochemical self-regeneration, forming a closed-loop continuous water production.
