Dot Peen Rotary Marking Machine Split Lifting Bench for Oil Drilling Rods & Bits

 

This custodial marking machine for oil well drill pipes and bits was custom-developed on behalf of the client. It combines a standard 140×80 mm benchtop Dot Peen and Scribe Marking head with a multi-functional module, specifically designed for irregular, heavy workpieces. Due to the irregular shape of these drill pipes or bits, a two-stage design was used to accommodate components such as the drill pipe crankshaft. The active stage uses a high-power stepper motor, reducer, and roller to drive the drill pipe or bit rotation. The driven stage features rollers with lead screw adjustments in both the X and Y axes and electric lifting on the Z axis for leveling purposes. The marking head is mounted on a manual slide with a 2000mm X-axis travel for the client to adjust the marking position. A Y-axis movement module enables automatic positioning and resetting of the marking machine, allowing the client to use overhead cranes or similar devices for loading and unloading to avoid collisions. As a heavy-duty marking machine, the entire machine uses the depth permanence of Dot Peen And Scribe Marking to cope with the harsh working conditions of the oil field, ensuring that the drill pipe identification code remains readable and traceable under mud, vibration, and high temperature.
