The PVM series is a high-pressure swashplate axial piston variable displacement pump developed by Danfoss after acquiring Eaton Vickers. Designed for heavy-duty industrial and mobile hydraulic applications, it is a mature and durable medium-to-high pressure piston pump renowned for low noise, high efficiency, strong contamination resistance and long service life. It is widely used as a replacement for the older Vickers PVB series.

1. It adopts a swashplate piston structure. The drive shaft rotates the cylinder block, and the pistons reciprocate according to the swashplate angle to complete oil suction and discharge cycles.
2. The swashplate angle is actuated by an integrated servo control valve, which automatically adjusts displacement based on load pressure signals to achieve constant power, constant pressure and load-sensing (LS) control.
3. Pressure compensation (PC) is the most common configuration: once system pressure reaches the preset value, the pump automatically reduces displacement to stabilize pressure, minimize overflow heat generation and save energy.
1. PC Pressure Compensation Control
The most widely used type, which sets the maximum system operating pressure and reduces displacement automatically at set pressure. Commonly applied in injection molding machines and hydraulic power units.
2. LS Load Sensing Control
Adjusts flow in real time according to load demand, running at low displacement under no-load conditions to reduce power consumption. Suitable for construction machinery and mobile hydraulics.
3. EP Electro-Proportional Displacement Control
Receives 0~10V or 4~20mA electrical signals for stepless flow regulation, ideal for automated production lines and closed-loop systems.
4. HC Constant Power Control
Maintains constant engine output power to prevent overload stalling, used in loaders, pavers and other mobile equipment.
