I. Applicable Models: Shantui L55-B5 Heavy Wheel Loaders

Compatible with the same platform: Shantui L53-B5, L56-B5, 5Tons Loader

II. Installation Location: Installed on the left side of the planetary gearbox housing (below the torque converter), driven by the gearbox input gear. It is directly flanged to the outside of the gearbox housing. An external oil suction line leads to the gearbox oil pan, and the oil outlet leads to the transmission control valve and torque converter oil circuit.

III. Core Functions:

1. Provides shift pressure oil: Provides pressurized oil to the clutches of each gear in the gearbox, enabling forward/reverse movement and gear engagement/disengagement. It is the power source for the machine's movement and gear shifting.

2. Torque Converter Oil Supply and Cooling: Supplying transmission oil to the hydraulic torque converter to complete oil filling and circulating cooling.

3. Lubricating Oil Supply: Forced lubrication of the gearbox planetary gear set, bearings, and gear pairs.

The entire machine's movement and gear shifting depend on this pump; if the pump fails, the loader will not move and will not respond to gear shifting.

Installation Precautions:

Align the drive spline properly and tighten the flange bolts diagonally and evenly;

Add clean transmission oil to the pump body before assembly to prevent dry friction during initial start-up;

After installation, idle in neutral to vent the exhaust gas and check that the pressure reaches the standard value before engaging gears and testing the vehicle.

When replacing the pump, it is recommended to replace the gearbox filter and clean metal shavings and impurities from the oil pan simultaneously to avoid secondary wear on the new pump.
