This surface mount holder is specifically designed for 20mm diameter CR2032 lithium batteries, providing a reliable power connection for compact electronic devices. The housing is molded from high temperature LCP Liquid Crystal Polymer rated UL94 V-0, with a heat deflection temperature of 280 degrees Celsius, enabling reflow soldering without warpage. Contacts are stamped from beryllium copper with selective gold plating of 0.4 microns on the contact tips, ensuring low contact resistance below 25 milliohms. Key specifications include current rating of 200mA continuous, retention force of 70 to 100 grams, low profile height of 2.5mm above PCB, and operating temperature range from -40 to +125 degrees Celsius. The holder features a polarity key and provides audible click feedback when the battery is fully seated. RoHS and REACH compliant, UL recognized under E472792.

Applications include real time clock backup, IoT sensors, medical devices, smart watches, fitness trackers, key fobs, and portable medical monitors. Usage method: the holder is supplied on tape and reel for automatic pick and place. Solder the two SMT pads using standard reflow soldering with peak 260 degrees Celsius and stencil thickness of 0.12mm. After soldering, insert the CR2032 battery positive side up into the holder until the retaining clip snaps into place. To remove, use a plastic pry tool to release the clip. Precautions: do not exceed 200mA continuous current, avoid reverse polarity, ensure proper PCB land pattern, operate within -40 to +125 degrees Celsius.
