This high density IDC receptacle is designed for 1.27mm pitch flat ribbon cable, featuring a right angle orientation for parallel PCB mounting. The housing is molded from high temperature PBT or nylon 6/6 rated UL94 V-0, with a non polarized NP design allowing flexible cable insertion. Contacts are stamped from phosphor bronze with selective gold plating of 0.4 microns on the mating area and tin on the IDC fork. Key specifications include current rating 1A per contact, contact resistance below 20 milliohms, insulation resistance above 1000 megohms, dielectric strength 500V AC, and operating temperature range from -40 to +105 degrees Celsius. The right angle mount saves board space and allows cable exit parallel to the PCB. RoHS and REACH compliant, UL recognized under E472792.

Applications include computer peripherals, industrial control panels, medical imaging equipment, telecommunications, and data storage systems. Usage method: terminate the 1.27mm ribbon cable using an IDC press tool, ensuring conductors align with the fork contacts. The right angle receptacle is then soldered to the PCB via through hole pins. Mating with a corresponding pin header provides a reliable gas tight connection. Precautions: do not exceed 1A per contact, ensure correct cable orientation, avoid excessive insertion force. Production process: in house mold design, injection molding on 10 Japanese and Taiwanese machines, high speed stamping of contacts on 9 presses, selective gold and tin plating, automated contact insertion, right angle forming, 100 percent electrical continuity and coplanarity inspection, contact resistance and insulation tests, 48 hour salt spray test, and final QC with lot traceability.
