This precision header features a single row of 2.54mm pitch contacts with a unique U shaped pin design, where the terminal is formed into a U profile at the solder tail. This geometry provides increased solder joint surface area and enhanced mechanical retention on the PCB. The insulator is molded from high temperature UL94 V-0 PBT or nylon 6/6, ensuring dimensional stability through wave or reflow soldering. Contacts are stamped from phosphor bronze with selective gold or tin plating on the mating area, and pure tin on the U shaped solder tails. Key specifications include current rating 3A per contact, contact resistance below 20 milliohms, insulation resistance above 1000 megohms, dielectric strength 500V AC, and operating temperature from -40 to +105 degrees Celsius. The U type termination is compatible with standard 2.54mm PCB holes and offers improved pull out strength. RoHS and REACH compliant, UL recognized under E472792.

Applications include industrial controls, automotive electronics, medical devices, power supplies, and consumer products where vibration resistance is critical. Usage method: insert the U shaped solder tails into PCB through holes and solder using wave or hand soldering. The U profile allows solder to wick around the pin, creating a stronger mechanical bond than standard round pins. Mate with a corresponding 2.54mm female header. Precautions: do not exceed 3A per contact, verify pin alignment before soldering, avoid excessive force. Advantages over competitors: Antenks U type pin increases solder joint retention force by approximately 30 percent compared to standard round pins, reducing field failures under vibration. Coplanarity is maintained within 0.05mm for uniform soldering. Low MOQs of 1000 units with no tooling fees for standard configurations.

Production process: in house mold design, injection molding on 10 Japanese and Taiwanese machines, high speed stamping and U forming on 9 presses, selective gold or tin plating, automated pin insertion, 100 percent coplanarity and U shape inspection, contact resistance and insulation tests, 48 hour salt spray test, and final QC with lot traceability.
