This surface mount socket features a 2.00mm pitch, dual row configuration, and a low profile design for high density PCB mounting. The insulator is molded from high temperature LCP or UL94 V-0 PBT, capable of withstanding reflow soldering up to 260°C without warpage. Contacts are stamped from phosphor bronze with selective gold plating on the mating area and tin on the SMT tails, utilizing a dual leaf spring design for reliable gas tight connection. Key specifications include current rating 2A per contact, contact resistance below 20 milliohms, insulation resistance above 1000 megohms, dielectric strength 500V AC, and operating temperature from -40 to +105 degrees Celsius. The SMT design eliminates through hole drilling, reducing PCB cost. RoHS and REACH compliant, UL recognized under E472792.
Applications include portable electronics, medical devices, industrial controls, automotive modules, and communication equipment where space saving is critical. Usage method: the header is supplied on tape and reel for automatic pick and place. Solder the SMT tails using standard reflow soldering with peak 260°C and stencil thickness of 0.12mm. Mate with a 2.00mm dual row pin header. Precautions: do not exceed 2A per contact, ensure PCB land pattern matches recommended footprint, avoid excessive reflow cycles. Production process: in house mold design, injection molding on 10 Japanese and Taiwanese machines, high speed stamping of dual leaf contacts on 9 presses, selective gold and tin plating, automated insertion into SMT housing, 100 percent coplanarity and contact alignment inspection, contact resistance and insulation tests, 48 hour salt spray test, and final QC with lot traceability.
