Huizhou Antenk Electronics Co., Ltd. (IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001 certified) presents the DIN41612 Vertical Female Type B Connector with 10 positions. This compact backplane receptacle follows IEC 60603-2 standard, featuring a Type B configuration with 2 rows of 5 contacts each on a 2.54mm grid. The reduced pin count makes it ideal for applications requiring fewer signal lines while maintaining the robustness of the DIN41612 series. The insulator is molded from high temperature UL94 V-0 PBT or glass filled polyester, providing excellent mechanical strength and dimensional stability up to 125°C. Female contacts are stamped from phosphor bronze with selective gold plating of 0.8 microns on the mating area and pure tin on the solder tails, featuring a tuning fork or hyperboloid design for low insertion force and high reliability. Key specifications include current rating 2A per contact, contact resistance below 20 milliohms, insulation resistance above 1000 megohms, dielectric strength 1000V AC, and operating temperature from -55 to +125 degrees Celsius. The vertical orientation allows direct backplane mounting. RoHS and REACH compliant, UL recognized under E472792.

Applications include industrial control systems, medical equipment, test and measurement instruments, telecom peripherals, and embedded computing where space is limited. Usage method: solder the through hole tails to the PCB using wave or hand soldering. The Type B connector mates with a corresponding DIN41612 Type B male header, providing a rugged, gas tight connection. The 10 position design reduces board footprint compared to standard 32 or 64 position variants. Precautions: do not exceed 2A per contact, ensure proper alignment before mating, avoid excessive insertion force (typical max 30N). Advantages over competitors: Antenks Type B connector offers the same high reliability as full size DIN41612 but in a compact 10 pin package, saving PCB real estate. The hyperboloid female contact ensures stable contact resistance over 1000 mating cycles. Gold plating thickness up to 1.0μm available for harsh environments. Production process: in house mold design, injection molding on 10 Japanese and Taiwanese machines, high speed stamping of female contacts on 9 presses, selective gold and tin plating, automated contact insertion, 100 percent insertion force and coplanarity inspection, contact resistance and insulation tests, 48 hour salt spray test, and final QC with lot traceability.
