This dual row socket features a 2.54mm pitch, straight vertical orientation, and a compact profile designed for space efficient PCB stacking. The insulator is molded from high temperature UL94 V-0 PBT or nylon 6/6, providing mechanical stability and resistance to flux and cleaning solvents. Contacts are stamped from phosphor bronze with selective gold or tin plating on the mating area and pure tin on the solder tails. The female contact uses a dual leaf spring design with a boxed shroud to protect the contact fingers during handling. Key specifications include current rating 3A per contact, contact resistance below 20 milliohms, insulation resistance above 1000 megohms, dielectric strength 500V AC, and operating temperature from -40 to +105 degrees Celsius. The 8.5mm height allows secure mating with standard 2.54mm pin headers of similar or lower profile. RoHS and REACH compliant, UL recognized under E472792.

Applications include industrial control modules, medical monitoring equipment, automotive electronics, test fixtures, and consumer devices requiring reliable board to board connections. Usage method: solder the through hole tails to the PCB using wave or hand soldering. Mate with a 2.54mm dual row pin header; the dual leaf contacts provide a gas tight connection with low insertion force. The 5.0mm width is optimized for standard 0.1 inch grid layouts. Precautions: do not exceed 3A per contact, ensure proper pin alignment before mating, avoid excessive force.
