Huizhou Antenk Electronics Co., Ltd. (IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001 certified) presents the Coin Cell Holders For CR2032 THM (Through Hole Mount). This vertical coin cell retainer is specifically designed for CR2032 lithium batteries, featuring through hole solder tails for robust PCB attachment. Unlike SMT versions, the THM design offers superior mechanical pullout strength (over 5kgf), making it ideal for applications subject to shock, vibration, or frequent battery changes. The housing is molded from high temperature UL94 V-0 PBT or nylon 6/6, providing excellent chemical resistance and dimensional stability. Contacts are stamped from nickel plated phosphor bronze, with the positive side featuring a raised dimple and the negative side a pre loaded coil spring. Key specifications include contact resistance below 30 milliohms, retention force of 80 to 120 grams, current rating of 200mA continuous (peak 400mA), and operating temperature from -40 to +85 degrees Celsius. The polarity key and molded battery stop prevent reverse insertion, and an audible click confirms secure seating. RoHS and REACH compliant, UL recognized under E472792.
Applications include RTC backup in computers, industrial motherboards, medical devices, security systems, gas meters, and any equipment where reliable battery retention and easy manual soldering are preferred. Usage method: insert the two through hole tails into PCB holes (1.0mm diameter recommended). Solder using wave or hand soldering (260°C max). Insert the CR2032 battery positive side up, pressing until the coil spring compresses and the battery snaps under the retaining lip. To remove, depress the spring with a non conductive tool. Precautions: do not exceed 200mA continuous, avoid reverse battery insertion, ensure proper hole alignment. Advantages over competitors: Antenks THM holder features a reinforced coil spring tested to 10,000 insertion cycles, and the through hole tails provide 3x higher pullout force than SMT clips. The housing includes molded standoffs for flux cleaning. Low MOQs of 1000 units with no tooling fees.
Production process: in house mold design, injection molding on 10 Japanese and Taiwanese machines, high speed stamping of contacts and spring coiling on 9 presses, nickel plating (3μm), automated assembly of spring into housing, 100 percent spring force and coplanarity inspection, contact resistance and insulation tests, 48 hour salt spray test, and final QC with lot traceability. Free samples, 2D and 3D CAD drawings, and 24 hour technical support available. Contact Antenk for custom plating and pin lengths.
