Both SGCC and SGCD are hot-dip galvanized steel sheets; their material composition and zinc coating thickness can be customized according to requirements. The specific differences are as follows: SGCC A general commercial-grade hot-dip galvanized steel sheet; it is the most common grade of galvanized steel. S (Steel) + G (Hot-dip Galvanized) + C (Cold-rolled) + C (Commercial grade); it primarily meets basic application needs and is not suitable for complex forming operations. Offers balanced basic properties—combining corrosion resistance, weldability, and basic formability—at a lower cost. SGCD A deep-drawing grade hot-dip galvanized steel sheet designed specifically for deep-drawing applications. It is further subdivided into SGCD1, SGCD2, and SGCD3, corresponding to general deep-drawing, deep-drawing, and extra-deep-drawing grades, respectively. S (Steel) + G (Hot-dip Galvanized) + C (Cold-rolled) + D (Drawing grade); it prioritizes excellent formability and ductility. Characterized by low yield strength, high elongation, and good plasticity; it can withstand significant deformation during deep-drawing without cracking, though it comes at a higher cost than SGCC.
