This right angle male header features a 3.96mm pitch, single row configuration, and 90 degree bent pins, designed for power distribution and high current signal connections in industrial and consumer equipment. The wider pitch provides increased creepage and clearance distances compared to 2.54mm types, making it suitable for applications up to 250V AC. The insulator is molded from high temperature UL94 V-0 PBT or nylon 6/6, capable of withstanding 260°C wave soldering. Contacts are stamped from phosphor bronze with selective gold or tin plating on the mating area and pure tin on the solder tails, rated for up to 7A per contact. Key specifications include contact resistance below 15 milliohms, insulation resistance above 1000 megohms, dielectric strength 1500V AC, and operating temperature from -40 to +105 degrees Celsius. The right angle orientation allows parallel PCB mounting with perpendicular cable connection, ideal for edge board applications. RoHS and REACH compliant, UL recognized under E472792.

Applications include power supplies, battery chargers, LED lighting drivers, home appliances, automotive aftermarket electronics, and industrial control panels where high current and easy board edge access are required. Usage method: solder the through hole pins to the PCB using wave or hand soldering. The right angle pins allow mating with a 3.96mm female housing from the side, reducing overall height. Precautions: do not exceed 7A per contact, ensure proper pin alignment before soldering, avoid excessive mating force (recommended 3N per contact max). Production process: in house mold design, injection molding on 10 Japanese and Taiwanese machines, high speed stamping of pins on 9 presses, selective gold or tin plating, automated pin insertion and right angle forming, 100 percent coplanarity and pin alignment inspection, contact resistance and insulation tests, 48 hour salt spray test, and final QC with lot traceability.
