This right angle shrouded header integrates a user friendly ejector mechanism that allows tool free disconnection of mating IDC sockets or female headers, ideal for applications requiring frequent cable changes or maintenance. The 90 degree orientation enables parallel PCB mounting with perpendicular cable exit, saving board space and simplifying cable management. Constructed from high temperature UL94 V-0 insulator materials (PBT or PA6T+30%GF), the header withstands wave soldering up to 260°C. Contacts are precision stamped from brass with selective gold or tin over nickel plating. Key electrical specifications per the attached datasheet include current rating 3.0A per contact, contact resistance 20 milliohms max, insulation resistance 1000 megohms min, withstand voltage 1000V AC/DC, and operating temperature from -40 to +105 degrees Celsius. The ejector arms provide positive locking during mating and release with a gentle outward squeeze. Polarization features prevent incorrect insertion. RoHS and REACH compliant, UL recognized under E472792.

Applications include test and measurement equipment, industrial control panels, medical diagnostic devices, computer motherboards, and any system requiring secure but frequently disconnectable connections. Usage method: solder the through hole pins to the PCB using wave or hand soldering. Mate a 2.54mm IDC socket or female header with the ejector header until the arms snap into locked position. To disconnect, squeeze both ejector arms outward simultaneously, then pull the mating connector straight out. Precautions: do not exceed 3.0A per contact, ensure ejector arms are fully open before mating, avoid using excessive force.
