Surface Preparation and Lamination Process After the topcoat has fully cooled, the material enters the lamination pretreatment stage. Here, low-temperature plasma scanning or corona treatment raises the topcoat's surface tension to ≥42 dyn/cm, ensuring a strong bond between the painted surface and the adhesive layer of the PVC film. Next, a PVC decorative film—pre-printed with a wood grain pattern and pre-coated with eco-friendly hot-melt adhesive (typically 80–150 μm thick)—is thermally bonded to the painted steel coil surface. This process utilizes heat-resistant silicone rollers applying pressure from above and below at temperatures of 160–180°C and pressures of 0.3–0.5 MPa. Simultaneous embossing creates a tactile, three-dimensional texture that matches the visual wood grain, further enhancing the realistic wood-like appearance. Following lamination, the steel coil undergoes gradual cooling through a gradient cooling zone to prevent wrinkling or stress cracking caused by rapid temperature changes. Finally, the surface undergoes in-line inspection for adhesion and scratch resistance; once confirmed free of delamination, air bubbles, or defects, the material is slit to the specified length and recoiled, completing the production process.
