Approve the Center by Fit, Not Only by Carat

FLGR-02 uses a 2.01 carat green cushion lab-grown diamond in a four-claw 18K white gold setting. Approximately 0.23 carat of small lab-grown diamonds runs along the upper shoulders, while the polished lower shank keeps the profile visually light.

For repeat production, the key risk is not the visible design. It is replacing the center with another 2.01 carat cushion that has a different length, width, depth or corner radius. Carat is a weight measurement; it does not confirm that a second stone will enter the same basket, meet the same claw seats or sit at the approved height.

Create a Center-Stone Fit Window

A practical B2B specification should record more than the sample's 2.01 carat weight. The approved center length and width control the visible coverage and the position of the four claws. Depth controls how far the pavilion enters the basket and how high the table sits above the finger.

Length and width

Set an acceptable millimeter range and cushion ratio so the outline remains consistent across repeat orders.

Depth and pavilion clearance

Confirm that the pavilion clears the lower structure without lifting the stone above the approved profile.

Corner radius

Check that all four rounded corners meet the claws at comparable positions.

Girdle condition

Review the actual girdle before final claw seats are cut; a nominal carat match is not enough.

Green center options can be reviewed in the green lab diamond collection. Once a stone is selected, its actual measurements should be used for the CAD rather than a generic two-carat cushion model.

Keep the Pave as a Shoulder Line

The approximately 0.23 carat side-diamond total is distributed along the upper shank. In the supplied images, the small stones read as a narrow shoulder line rather than a second focal element. That proportion should be protected when ring size, shank width or center dimensions change.

If the pave section is extended too far toward the lower shank, resizing and later service become more difficult. If the melee is enlarged without increasing the shoulder width, the metal edges and bead spacing may become uneven. The order file should therefore identify the pave start point, end point, stone diameter range and finished shoulder width.

The sample can be developed through the custom ring CAD process with the center fit window and shoulder map approved together. This prevents a later center substitution from changing the ring's top width or pave proportions unintentionally.

These are separate production directions, not automatic material substitutions. Each version should receive its own finished weight, ring-size range and QC image set before it is added to a private-label collection.

• Confirm the center is level when viewed from the front and side.
• Compare all four claw contact points and visible claw lengths.
• Check pavilion clearance below the center and inspect the open gallery for polishing access.
• Compare left and right pave start points, stone spacing and shoulder width.
• Record the finished weight and ring size because the 3.20 g sample figure cannot be applied to every size.

Questions Before the Center Is Released to Setting

Can any 2.01 ct cushion fit this mounting?

No. The replacement must be checked by length, width, depth, corner radius and girdle condition. A matching carat weight does not guarantee the same basket fit.

Is the IGI grade confirmed for this sample?

The supplied product name indicates an IGI center, but no grading report page was provided with the current files. The report number, color grade, clarity, growth method and measurements should remain unpublished until the report is supplied and matched to the stone.

Can the shoulder diamonds continue around the full band?

Yes, but that creates a different sizing and service plan. The stone count, lower-shank thickness and available resizing area should be approved before changing this partial-pave sample.
