FeSi 75

Overview

FeSi75 is the most widely used ferrosilicon grade in the metallurgical industry. It is supplied as silver-gray lumps, granules or powder with stable chemical composition and consistent quality.

With its high silicon content, it provides excellent deoxidation performance and improves steel cleanliness. It is commonly used in carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and cast iron production.

Available in various sizes, FeSi75 can also be customized to meet specific customer requirements.

1. Primary Steelmaking Deoxidizer: Rapidly removes oxygen from liquid steel in EAF and ladle furnaces, forming clean slag and preventing gas porosity.

2. High-Performance Foundry Inoculant: Promotes graphite formation in ductile and grey iron, improving toughness and machinability.

3. Magnesium Metal Reduction: Acts as the essential reducing agent in the thermal extraction of magnesium via the Pidgeon process.
