1. Product Overview

MSF-180 is a mainstream KYB-spec travel motor assembly and matching spare part series for CAT 336D2 excavator, belonging to the core walking component of mobile hydraulic system. The complete assembly integrates axial piston motor and final planetary reduction box; separable spare parts include motor shaft, piston shoe, cylinder block, valve plate, seal kits and other wear parts. It converts hydraulic pressure energy into crawler driving torque to realize forward, backward and steering movement of the excavator, widely used for original equipment matching and later maintenance replacement of 30-tonne class heavy excavators.

3. Working Principle

High-pressure oil from the main hydraulic pump enters the MSF-180 motor cavity, pushing the piston assembly to rotate the cylinder block and motor shaft. Torque is amplified and speed is reduced by the built-in planetary final drive, then transferred to track sprockets. Integrated mechanical brake locks the shaft after oil cut-off to prevent slipping on slopes; all separable spare parts bear cyclic load during frequent start-stop and steering operations.
