Marine Deck Machinery Hydraulic Motor HMB5‑2.3
1. Product Overview
HMB5‑2.3 is a high‑torque radial piston hydraulic motor specially designed for marine deck machinery, a core executive part of shipboard hydraulic systems. It is widely fitted for ship winches, windlasses, deck cranes and mooring equipment. Featuring sturdy all‑metal structure, strong seawater corrosion resistance and outstanding overload tolerance, it adapts to heavy‑load frequent start‑stop operations under humid, salty offshore conditions, serving both new vessel assembly and spare‑part replacement for old ships.

3. Working Principle
Pressurized oil delivered by the ship hydraulic power unit enters the motor oil chamber and pushes radial pistons outward. Pistons roll against the cam ring to drive the output shaft rotating, converting hydraulic energy into mechanical torque for winding ropes, lifting loads and tightening anchor chains. The multi‑piston layout delivers steady low‑speed high‑torque output; built‑in buffer structure absorbs impact tension during mooring and hoisting to protect the whole hydraulic system from surge pressure damage.
4. Core Advantages
1. Radial piston structure offers excellent low‑speed stability without crawling, ideal for precise mooring and hoisting control on decks.
2. Special anti‑corrosion coating and marine seals resist salt spray, moisture and dust, extending service life in harsh offshore environments.
3. High overload capacity to cope with sudden tension fluctuation during anchor lifting and rope hauling.
4. Compact robust casing fits narrow deck installation space, easy to maintain on board.
5. Mature interchangeable sizing supports direct replacement for old motors of deck machinery, cutting vessel downtime at port.
5. Application Scope
Mainly used for ship windlasses, mooring winches, deck cranes, hatch cover driving units and other deck hydraulic equipment, applicable to cargo ships, tugboats, offshore work vessels and fishing boats for anchoring, mooring, cargo lifting and hatch opening/closing operations.
