Pear Shape Green Lab Grown Diamond Halo Ring Design
2 month agoOne Pear Head, Two Controlled Directions
FLGR-07 uses a detachable pear cluster rather than a fixed ring head. In ring mode, the green pear must align with the finger and shoulder accents. As a pendant, it must hang point-down without leaning or turning forward.
The ring mount, connection point, bail centerline and head weight should therefore be reviewed together. A secure connection is not sufficient if the pear sits off-axis in either mode.
Ring reference: pear point follows the ring centerline and remains level above the split shoulders
Pendant reference: pear point hangs vertically below the bail with the face directed outward
Approval evidence: front, side and movement views for both configurations
The Certified Pear Sets the Inner Geometry
IGI report LG696543902 identifies a 1.04 ct Pear Modified Brilliant lab-grown diamond measuring 7.96 x 5.43 x 3.36 mm. Its approximate 1.47 ratio gives it a relatively full pear outline.
The center is graded Fancy Vivid Green and VVS2, with Very Good polish, Very Good symmetry and no fluorescence. The report records HPHT growth and indications of post-growth treatment.
These facts apply only to the inscribed center. They do not grade the approximately 1.05 ct of accents, verify the 18K gold mounting or certify the connection. Another pear still needs a fit review because its width, depth and point position affect the halo and prongs.
Define the Ring Axis Before Cutting the Receiving Mount
Because a pear is directional, the receiving mount should return the head to the same centerline after reassembly. Mark the pear point, bail direction, connection depth and shoulder gaps in the CAD.
- Front alignment: the pear point should divide the ring base evenly rather than drift toward one shoulder.
- Side level: the halo face should not tilt after the head is secured.
- Rotation control: the approved mechanism should prevent unwanted movement during normal wear.
- Release access: removal should not require pressure on the center prongs or outer halo.
The exact lock is not visible in the supplied photographs. Confirm it in the technical drawing before polishing and stone setting.
Pendant Balance Starts at the Bail, Not the Chain
Once detached, the cluster has its own balance. Bail opening, attachment height and back profile determine whether the face stays visible or tips toward the chest.
Specify chain width and whether a chain is included. A thicker chain may need a larger opening, while a fine chain may allow more rotation.
The detachable head can be developed through the dual-wear jewelry CAD process. The ring position and pendant hang should be shown on separate approval views rather than represented by one front render.
Allocate the 1.05ct Accent Total by Function
The approximately 1.05 ct accent total serves several areas. The halo controls the removable head outline; larger shoulder accents and shank melee belong only to ring mode. They should be ordered as separate groups.
Alternative green pear centers can be reviewed in the green lab diamond inventory. A change in center dimensions should trigger a new halo opening and orientation review, even when the target weight remains close to one carat.

Approve Movement, Not Only Still Images
Still images cannot show movement. Pre-shipment records should include a ring movement clip, a connection check, a pendant hang clip and close views of the contact surfaces after repeated assembly.
Retain the report number, halo dimensions, ring axis, bail opening, connection depth, ring size, weight and approved clips for repeat orders.
Questions Before Two-Wear Approval
Can the detachable head rotate after it is fitted to the ring?
The approved mount should control unwanted rotation, but the exact locating and locking method must be confirmed in CAD and tested on the sample. Front and movement checks should be included in final QC.
Is the necklace chain included with this model?
The images confirm a pendant-ready bail and show a wearing reference. Chain inclusion, length, width, clasp and metal weight should be listed separately in the quotation.
Can a different one-carat green pear use the same halo head?
Only after its actual length, width, depth, girdle and point position are compared with the approved center. Similar carat weight does not guarantee the same halo gap or prong placement.
Send two orientation references with the inquiry. In the FLGR-07 development brief, include one image showing the preferred ring direction and one showing the intended pendant hang. Add the chain width, ring-size range and target quantity. The first CAD review can then return separate axis, bail and connection views instead of one generic product render.
