Important Note: Part 4384360 is primarily designated for N14/QSN14 engines. For ISM11/QSM11/M11 engines, verify the engine CPL number and ECM version (CM570/CM876) before selection; do not replace based solely on the part number, as this may result in power loss, black smoke, or fault codes.
Common Failure Symptoms (Injector Damage)
1. Single-cylinder misfire, rough idling, sluggish acceleration
2. White or black exhaust smoke, abnormally high fuel consumption
3. Rising engine oil level (diesel fuel leaking into the oil sump)
4. ECM reports fault codes related to injector actuation or fuel metering
Replacement and Testing Points
1. Seals, O-rings, and floating seal groups must be replaced during installation to prevent fuel or air leaks
2. New unit / Before installation, refurbished units must undergo flow rate and opening pressure calibration tests on an injector test bench.
3. Installation torque must strictly adhere to the Cummins service manual; a cylinder cutout test must be performed after installation to verify operation.
4. Fuel quality is the primary cause of failure for this type of EUI injector; fuel filter elements must be replaced on schedule.
