2/2-Way Spool Type Threaded Cartridge Valve
Product Overview
The 2/2-Way Spool Type Threaded Cartridge Valve is a two-position two-way hydraulic control valve with spool structure, designed for installation in standard manifold cartridge cavities. Different from poppet valves, flow switching is realized by the axial movement of cylindrical spool.
This valve controls connection and shutoff of hydraulic circuits. Multiple driving modes are available, including solenoid control, hydraulic pilot control. It supports flexible combination in integrated hydraulic manifolds, mainly used for medium & low leakage switching loops in modular hydraulic systems. Various specifications (08, 10, 12, 16 size) can be selected to match different flow requirements.
2/2‑Way Spool Type Threaded Cartridge Valve is a directional control Hydraulic valve. As a versatile CARTRIDGE VALVE, it is screwed into manifold block cavities to realize oil circuit on‑off and direction switching inside the hydraulic system. Widely equipped on various industrial Machine, this compact component supports new equipment assembly as well as spare‑part replacement and field overhaul.
Key Technical Specifications

- Available function: Normally Open (NO) / Normally Closed (NC)
- Control options: Solenoid operated, pilot hydraulic control
- Medium: Anti-wear hydraulic oil
- Fluid temperature: -20℃ ~ +85℃
- Recommended oil cleanliness: NAS 8 or higher
- Feature note: Small amount of internal leakage exists under closed status (characteristic of spool construction)
Working Principle
Under initial status, the spool is maintained by spring force to keep the main circuit open or closed. After receiving electromagnetic or pilot hydraulic control signal, thrust pushes the spool to slide axially inside the valve sleeve. The spool changes the communication state of internal flow passages to realize oil path switching.
When control signal disappears, return spring pushes the spool back to original position, and the hydraulic circuit returns to initial working status. Continuous flow adjustment and circuit on-off control can be achieved through spool displacement.
Core Advantages
1. Spool sliding structure, stable flow characteristic, smooth switching
2. Compact threaded cartridge layout, embedded installation inside manifold blocks, space-saving
3. Fast switching response, suitable for frequent repeated action conditions
4. Multiple sizes and control methods for flexible system design
5. Standard international cartridge cavity dimension, high interchangeability
6. Simple structure, low failure rate, convenient disassembly and maintenance
7. Excellent anti-pressure impact performance, stable operation under fluctuating load
Limitation Reminder
Compared with poppet-type cartridge valves, spool valves have inherent slight internal leakage when closed. Not recommended for circuits requiring zero leakage sealing.
