Manufacturing Process
1. Material Inspection
Stainless steel plates, tubes, forgings and other materials are inspected according to project specifications before fabrication.
2. CNC Machining
Critical components such as flanges, tube plates, nozzles and agitator components can be precision-machined according to approved drawings.
3. Shell Fabrication
Plates are cut, formed, rolled and welded to manufacture the main vessel shell.
4. Head Fabrication
Elliptical, dished or other customized heads can be manufactured according to the vessel design.
5. Agitator Assembly
The agitator shaft, blades, mechanical seal and drive system are assembled and aligned according to the required mixing configuration.
6. Nozzle & Internal Assembly
Process nozzles, baffles, coils, jackets and other internal components are installed according to the approved design.
7. Welding & Inspection
Welding procedures, welder qualifications, visual inspection and applicable NDT are performed according to project requirements.
8. Pressure Testing
Hydrostatic or other specified testing is performed to verify the integrity of the completed vessel.
9. Final Inspection
Dimensional inspection, surface inspection, functional checks and documentation review are completed before shipment.

Material Selection Guide
Stainless Steel 304
Suitable for many general industrial mixing, storage and process applications where moderate corrosion resistance is sufficient.
Stainless Steel 316L
A preferred option for many pharmaceutical, food, chemical and high-purity applications requiring enhanced corrosion resistance.
Titanium
Suitable for selected highly corrosive or high-temperature applications where superior corrosion resistance is required.
Hastelloy
Suitable for severe chemical environments, particularly where strong acids, chlorides or other aggressive media may challenge conventional stainless steel.
Final material selection should always be verified against the actual chemical composition, concentration, temperature, pressure and service conditions.
Quality Control
Every SS Vessel can be subjected to project-specific quality control procedures, including:
- Raw Material Inspection
- Material Certificate Review
- PMI Testing
- Dimensional Inspection
- Welding Procedure Qualification
- Welder Qualification
- Visual Inspection
- Liquid Penetrant Testing
- Magnetic Particle Testing
- Radiographic Testing
- Ultrasonic Testing
- Hydrostatic Testing
- Surface Roughness Inspection
- Agitator Alignment Inspection
- Mechanical Seal Inspection
- Final Inspection
Project documentation can include material certificates, welding records, NDT reports, pressure test reports, inspection records and other required quality documents.
Why Choose Our SS Vessel?
Process-Based Engineering
We design the vessel according to the actual process rather than using a generic tank configuration.
Multiple Material Options
304, 316L, duplex stainless steel, titanium and Hastelloy options provide flexibility for different process environments.
Integrated Mixing Solution
The vessel, agitator, mechanical seal, heating/cooling system and instrumentation can be engineered as an integrated process package.
Customized Pressure Equipment
For pressurized applications, the vessel can be designed and fabricated according to applicable pressure equipment standards and project specifications.
Complete Manufacturing Control
Fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, inspection and pressure testing can be coordinated within one manufacturing process.
FAQ
What is an SS Vessel?
An SS Vessel is a stainless steel process vessel used for mixing, reaction, storage, heating, cooling or other industrial processing operations.
What is the difference between SS304 and SS316L?
SS316L generally provides better corrosion resistance than SS304, particularly in many chloride-containing and chemical environments. The correct material should be selected according to the actual process medium.
Can the vessel include an agitator?
Yes. Anchor, paddle, turbine, propeller, helical and customized agitators can be configured according to viscosity, mixing requirements and process conditions.
Can an SS Vessel operate under pressure?
Yes. The vessel can be engineered as a pressure-rated process vessel when the design pressure, temperature, materials and applicable code requirements are specified.
Can you manufacture titanium or Hastelloy vessels?
Yes. Titanium and Hastelloy can be considered for specialized applications requiring high corrosion resistance or resistance to aggressive process media.
Can the vessel be customized?
Yes. Capacity, diameter, height, material, agitator, jacket, insulation, nozzles, internal components, instrumentation and control system can all be customized.
