N‑Chlorosuccinimide, also known as succinchlorimide, is a pharmaceutical intermediate. It can be used for the production of antibiotics, and also serves as a reagent for distinguishing primary, secondary and tertiary alcohols, as well as a chlorinating agent and bactericide. As an important chlorinating agent in organic synthesis, it is also a bactericide. It features easy‑to‑purify property and relatively good stability.

N‑Chlorosuccinimide (NCS) CAS:128-09-6,its appears as white crystalline solid, slightly moisture‑sensitive. N‑Chlorosuccinimide acts as a selective chlorinating agent and mild oxidant widely used in organic synthesis.
