PC220-8 / PC200-8 Main Pump Solenoid Valve, also known as EPC proportional solenoid valve, is a precision Hydraulic valve mounted on the main hydraulic pump of Komatsu PC200-8 and PC220-8 excavator. It is a core electronic control component of the excavator hydraulic system, used to adjust pump displacement dynamically according to engine load and operation signal, to match the power output of the Machine. Working Principle

The controller sends variable current signal to the coil of this Hydraulic valve. The electromagnetic force pushes the internal spool to change pilot oil pressure, which acts on the regulator of main pump. The displacement of hydraulic pump will be adjusted automatically. When the Machine is under heavy load, the solenoid reduces pump flow to avoid engine stall; under light load, it increases pump output for faster operation, balancing power and fuel efficiency of the whole hydraulic system.
