Product Overview

CAT Proportional Solenoid Valve is a precision Hydraulic valve specially designed for Caterpillar construction equipment. It serves as the electronic control unit of the excavator hydraulic system, converting PWM electric signals into continuous pilot pressure to adjust pump displacement, valve spool position and hydraulic power output of the Machine. Common OEM part numbers: 111-9916, 225-4558, 585-9231, 121-1491. Widely fitted on CAT E320B/C/D, E323GC, E330GC, E336GC and other series excavators, it solves common faults such as weak power, slow boom movement, engine stalling and unstable hydraulic response.

Working Principle

The machine controller sends PWM signal to the coil of this Hydraulic valve. Electromagnetic force pushes the internal spool to continuously change pilot oil pressure. The regulated pilot pressure acts on the main pump regulator or main control valve, realizing stepless adjustment of pump flow and hydraulic power. When the Machine bears heavy load, the valve reduces pump output to avoid engine stall; under light load, it increases flow for faster operation, optimizing the whole hydraulic system efficiency.
