Basic technical rules of rubber plastic insulation materials

The following points should be paid attention to when installing rubber plastic heat insulation materials:

1. All the cutting gaps and joints shall be pasted sealed with special glue.

2. After installation, all tees, elbows, valves, flanges and other accessories shall reach the design thickness.

3. Don't use too much force when gluing. All the joints between materials should be glued under slight pressure.

4. During installation, the large pipes should be installed first, and then the small pipes will be installed. The elbows and tees are installed first, and then the straight pipes are installed, and at last the valves and flanges are installed.

5. When installing chilled water pipes and refrigeration equipment, the gap between the two ends of the rubber plastic pipe and the iron pipe should be applied with glue, and the bonding width should not be equal to the thickness of the rubber plastic material.0

6. The pipe cutting opening should be installed in an inconspicuous place as far as possible, and the cutting opening of two pipes should be staggered with each other.0

7. Do not install the machine in use. Do not start the machine within 36 hours after installation.

8. Due to the packing, the large diameter rubber plastic pipe has become oval. Please cut the flat side when you cut it.

9. Generally, special glue cannot be used below 5°C. When working in an environment of 5°C-10°C, please place the glue in a room with a temperature of 20°C and take it out when needed.

10. When connecting two materials under pressure, there is no need to wait for the glue to dry.  The wet bonding method is adopted. First place the material at the installation place, apply glue to the interface of the material, and adjust the position of the two materials correctly. It will be firmly bonded according to the position you designed.

11. Check whether the glue is firmly bonded with the antirust paint protecting the iron pipe.

Factors to consider when determining the thickness of insulation materials for rubber plastics:

1. The higher the ambient temperature is, the thicker the material is;

2. The higher the relative humidity is, the thicker the material is;

3. The lower the medium temperature is, the thicker the material is;

4. The larger the pipe diameter is, the thicker the material is.
