Source note: SL-WL-B2S is catalog-listed, but the 2026 outdoor catalog and private catalog differ on whole-light efficacy, voltage wording, 3500K/static colors and diffuser material. The selected sales configuration must be confirmed before these fields are copied into a quotation or tender schedule.
Single and Double Ended Configurations
The A version is a shorter 12W body intended for one-direction illumination. It can direct light upward, downward or sideways after rotation, making it useful beneath canopies, beside doors or along a facade line where only one beam is required. The B version carries two 12W COB sources and produces balanced light from opposite ends for the familiar up/down architectural effect.
These are distinct physical housings, not a selectable mode in one product. The A body is 180mm high and the B body is 260mm high, while both use a 90 x 90mm square section. Specify A or B before mounting points, cable exits and facade spacing are finalized. Referring to both as simply 12W/24W hides the construction difference that the installer needs.
360-Degree Rotatable Wall Light Body
The current gallery shows the complete rectangular housing rotating around the circular wall base. This mechanical movement changes the axis of the light pattern without relocating the junction point. A vertical position produces conventional upward and downward beams; a diagonal position adds motion to an entrance composition; a horizontal position can spread light laterally along a wall.
Rotation should be set after the fixture is secured and the facade reference lines are visible. For repeated installations, use an aiming template or angle mark so every unit follows the same orientation. The 360-degree statement describes body rotation, not a continuously motorized function. Confirm the tightening method and allowable adjustment procedure in the approved installation drawing.
Four COB Beam Angles for Facades
The 15-degree optic creates a narrow architectural stroke for columns, tall wall sections or high-contrast accents. A 24-degree beam provides focused emphasis with more tolerance for mounting position. The 36-degree option balances reach and width for entrances and repeated facade bays, while 60 degrees creates a softer, broader wash for low mounting heights and wider surfaces.
Beam angle, mounting height, wall texture and surface color work together. Dark stone absorbs more light than pale render, and a rough wall makes the beam edge more visible. Request an IES or LDT file for the exact power and optic, then confirm spacing with a night mock-up. Do not treat nominal beam angle as proof of delivered lumens, glare performance or uniformity.
Color Rendering and CCT Selection
CRI 80, 90 and 95 are shown as available tiers. CRI 80 can serve general exterior circulation and simple facade rhythm. CRI 90 is more appropriate for hospitality entrances, timber, stone and branded retail materials. CRI 95 should be confirmed against the selected COB, CCT and output because the highest rendering option may not be available in every configuration.
Both 2026 sources share 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6000K. The outdoor catalog additionally shows 3500K and static red, green and blue. Warm white supports residential and hotel environments, while neutral white suits contemporary commercial architecture. Do not advertise RGB color changing merely because the old gallery shows an RGB effect; controller, driver and wiring evidence are required.
IP65 Exterior Installation Boundary
IP65 appears in both 2026 catalogs and the current parameter graphic, so it is the supported page rating. One old gallery scene also contains the contradictory words Passed IP54 certification, and the CMS shows IP65 IP7. Replace that image text and remove the incomplete IP7 field. A model-specific IEC 60529 report should confirm the actual tested housing, cable entry and diffuser before tender use.
IP65 does not establish immersion, salt-spray resistance or unrestricted coastal suitability. The installer needs a flat wall surface, intact gasket, sealed cable entry and appropriate fasteners. Keep water from collecting behind the base. For coastal, poolside or chemical environments, confirm coating, fastener material and corrosion test requirements separately.
Dimming and Voltage Configuration
The 2026 tables list on-off, DALI, 0/1-10V and Triac versions. These are separate driver configurations rather than simultaneous functions in every fixture. Specify the control protocol before production and confirm the driver against the selected 12W or 2 x 12W load. DALI availability does not prove DALI-2 registration, while Triac performance should be tested with the proposed dimmer.
Voltage wording differs between the two official catalogs. The private booklet lists AC100-265V, AC220-240V and DC24V; the outdoor catalog lists AC220-265V and AC/DC12-24V. The website adds AC85-265V and 220V. Do not merge all ranges into one universal driver claim. The quotation must identify one input configuration and its matching driver code.
Installation and Aiming Checklist
Disconnect power and confirm the wall structure, cable location and mounting height. Fix the round base to a flat surface, complete the specified electrical connection and maintain the gasket around the cable entry. Attach the square housing, set the required rotation, tighten the mechanical joint and check that the beam axis matches the facade drawing. Do not adjust a live fixture or leave the body unsupported during wiring.
For an accurate quotation, specify SL-WL-B2S; A 12W or B 2 x 12W; 15, 24, 36 or 60-degree optic; CRI; CCT or confirmed static color; voltage; on-off, DALI, 0/1-10V or Triac control; body finish; quantity; destination market; and required reports. Request the current drawing, photometric file, IP evidence, driver data and warranty terms under one item code.
Architectural Application Planning
Villa and residential entrances - use paired B fixtures for symmetrical up/down patterns beside doors.
Hotel corridors and courtyards - repeat one optic, CCT and aiming angle to create a controlled visual rhythm.
Retail and restaurant facades - CRI 90 or 95 can support natural material and brand-color presentation.
Columns and architectural fins - narrow optics can emphasize vertical geometry from compact mounting points.
Covered walkways - rotate A fixtures downward or laterally where a second upward beam is unnecessary.
Textured stone and concrete - use a mock-up to balance visible texture, beam edge and contrast.

FAQ for SL-WL-B2S Facade Projects
What is the difference between the A and B versions?
A is a 12W single-ended body measuring 90 x 90 x 180mm. B is a 2 x 12W double-ended body measuring 90 x 90 x 260mm.
Can the light pattern be rotated?
Yes. The gallery shows 360-degree body rotation around the wall base. Confirm the locking method and aiming procedure in the approved drawing.
Which beam angles are listed in 2026?
The current catalogs list 15, 24, 36 and 60-degree COB optics for both A and B versions.
Is the fixture IP65 or IP54?
The 2026 catalogs and parameter image mark IP65. An old gallery scene says IP54 and should be replaced. Request the SL-WL-B2S IP report for project approval.
Can DALI, 0/1-10V or Triac be ordered?
The catalog tables show these options. Specify one protocol and confirm its driver; do not describe DALI as DALI-2 without registration evidence.
Is RGB color changing available?
The outdoor catalog shows static red, green and blue, while an old gallery graphic mentions RGB. Treat RGB control as unconfirmed until the driver and controller are documented.
What should an enquiry include?
Provide A or B configuration, power, optic, CRI, CCT, voltage, control protocol, finish, quantity, destination market and required approval documents.
