Softener Resin For Water Treatment

Arclion 001×7 resin is a type of strong acid cation exchange resin that is used in the water treatment industry. It is a polystyrene skeleton gel with a sulfonic acid group, which is equivalent to solid sulfuric acid. The resin is pale yellow and transparent, and it comes in the form of small spheres.

   The resin has a volumetric exchange capacity of at least 1.8mmol/ml, meaning it is capable of exchanging ions with a high capacity. The moisture content of the resin is between 45% and 55%, and its wet true density ranges from 0.77 to 0.87g/ml. The particle size of the resin ranges from 0.315 to 1.25mm, allowing for effective use in various water treatment processes.

   Arclion 001×7 Water Softener Resin is comparable to other foreign brands such as Amberlite IRA-120, Dowex 50, KY2-8, and Diaion SK-IA. These brands also offer strong acid cation exchange resins with similar performance characteristics.

When the ambient temperature is ≤0C, in order to prevent the resin from cracking due to the freezing of internal moisture, thermal insulation measures should be taken, or the resin should be stored in salt water of corresponding concentration according to the temperature conditions to prevent freezing and cracking. If the resin is found to be frozen, it should be allowed to thaw slowly and naturally, and mechanical force must not be applied to the resin.
